Course Route

The runners will congregate on the north-western side of the Maidenhead Office Park perimeter road.

They will start by doing a clockwise loop of the Maidenhead Office Park (MOP). At the fountain after the initial loop, the runners will turn left onto Westacott Way and continue to the top by the entrance to Woolley Hall (before the Bath Rd roundabout). Here the runners will do a U-turn and return to the fountain.

At the fountain, the runners will turn left and do a second loop of the MOP. At the fountain after the second loop, the runners will then turn left again and proceed up Westacott Way.

At the junction with Cycleway 4 (CW4), the runners will turn left onto CW4 and proceed to towards Bottle Lane. At the junction with Bottle Lane, the runners will turn left onto Bottle Lane and proceed towards White Waltham Village via Butchers Lane.

At the junction with Woodlands Park Road, the runners will turn left and head towards Woodlands Park passing the West London Aero Club on the left. At the bottom of Cannon Lane, the runners will turn left and then after about 300 yards turn left into Breadcroft Lane. The runners will continue up Breadcroft Lane over the railway bridge to the end where they will turn left into Cherry Garden Lane.

The runners will continue down Cherry Garden Lane and then immediately right onto CW4 again. At the junction with Westacott Way the runners will turn left and head down towards the fountain. At the fountain the runners will turn left and do a third loop of the MOP.

The finish is on the south-western side of the perimeter road before the right-hand bend that heads towards the Race HQ.

How to get there

By Road
From Reading/Slough/London
M4 to Junction 8/9 then A404M. Leave at the second exit, signposted A4, and take the A4 bath Road towards Reading. Follow signs to car parks which are approximately one mile from this junction.

From Henley/Marlow/High Wycombe
A404M, leave at the A4 Reading exit and follow signs.

From Windsor
A308M. Then A404M. leave at second exit and follow signs.

By Rail
Mainline from Paddington to Maidenhead. The race HQ is 3 miles from Maidenhead station in the direction of Reading. Unfortunately there is no bus service.

10/03/2008    Entries for the Easter Ten will remain open until Wednesday 19th March
                        - All web and postal entries sent after Friday 14th March will need to be
                        collected from the Enquiries desk in the Race Village on the morning of
                        the race.

03/03/2008    Race packs will be sent out from Monday 3rd March.

02/11/2007    The 2008 Maidenhead Easter Ten will be held on Friday 21st March.
                        Entries will open on November 5th.

2010 EVENT

The Easter Ten 2010 event is the 57th running of this well known road race and will be hosted again by Nortel at the Maidenhead Office Park and will feature the Berkshire 10 Mile Championships.

The race will be run Under UKA Rules and will feature ChampionChip Timing.

This is a popular race and we are expecting a high entry. Entries will open in early November. Please enter early to avoid disappointment. There will be no entries on the day.

The MAC and Maidenhead Office Park are also pleased to announce that the event will again be aimed at raising money for a local charity the Thames Valley Adventure Playground (www.tvap.net). Please see the section below on how to help raise money or make a donation to the TVAP.

As usual APEX Sports will be providing the runners numbers.

ENTRIES

On-Line entries via Runners World www.runnersworld.co.uk will open January 1st 2010.

The Entry Limit is 1300.

On-line entries for the Easter Ten will remain open until Thursday 1st April - – for entries after March 25th 2010 then please pick-up your race-pack from the Enquiries desk situated inside the Race Village

Runners packs will be sent out from Mid-March 2010.

Entry Fees are as follows: £14 Attached £16 Unattached

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY

There will be 24 individual awards and Male and Female team awards, and a souvenir to all finishers.

People can raise money or donate to the TVAP in the following ways:

1) The Entry Form

An optional donation can be included when entering for the race. All funds will be passed directly to the TVAP including the names and addresses of those who wish to participate in GiftAid. Please note that personal details will not be used for any other purpose.

2) Sponsorship

All runners who participated in last year’s event will receive an entry form for the race plus a sponsorship form for those would like to get sponsorship for taking part in the race.
